Esther Bruijn
Esther Bruijn's work cannot really be categorized. She works mainly in stone, but also in bronze, clay and fabric. Her work can be figurative, but also abstract or even abstract figurative. Characteristic of her work is actually the refinement in which she works and that she is always looking for a boundary. Both in the material she uses, and in the viewer of her work. Every year she tries to come out with a new series, in which she asks herself a new question that contributes to her research into this.
Esther Bruijn (Amsterdam, 1976), educated at the AHK, went to Italy in 2002 to make sculpting her own. From 2010 to 2012, Esther took the course in Apparel Design and Merchandising in San Francisco (CA) and has since set up her own styling and design agency (FLATT).
