About Gallery Intussen
Intussen Gallery emerges as a new cultural destination within De 1800 Roeden. The gallery aims to serve as a sanctuary for both Dutch and international culture, where art acts as a means of dialogue between people of different backgrounds. It is our vision to offer new opportunities to communities that remain underrepresented in the larger cultural landscape of the city, holding space indiscriminately for people of all origins, races, sexual orientations, and religions.
Intussen caters to the curious, those who long to listen, watch, smell, and experience other ways of being. The gallery is positioned amidst the lush gardens of Amsterdam West and uses this backdrop to propose an artistic program in symbiosis with nature, inviting guests to reflect on their relationship with the Pachamama, Mother Earth.
Intussen was conceived as an open garden, where diverse perspectives may flourish alongside one another and new modes of coexistence between individuals and the natural world can take root. Through artistic exploration, we sow seeds that cultivate compassion and solidarity.
