Yvon Visser
Yvon Visser studied Architectural Design at the Rietveld Academy, where she graduated in 1994. Her work is multifaceted and artisanal.
The basis for her work is often an object or object from her collection. She plays with its meaning by making it from an entirely different material and placing it in a new setting. For example, the basic shape of a house may end up in a ring or on a necklace. She sees goldsmithing as sculpture in miniature. Her house made in silver as a ring also has a special housing for when you are not wearing the ring.
Walnuts, seed pods, or other beautiful forms from nature know how to inspire her to create special ceramic objects. In addition to stand-alone objects, there are also, for example, beautiful vegetable vases with which you can create a small still life in your home. Bowls for a stylish cup of coffee or tea are executed in subtle coordinated colors and shapes.
