Jantien Kahn is a full-time stone sculptor living in Amsterdam and Brittany, France. Her sculptures are regularly shown in national and international exhibitions. The roots of her professional sculpture (2004) are in the field of the 1800 Roeden. Since 2014, Jantien has also worked part of the year in Brittany, where she draws inspiration from the Breton coastal landscape. Refinement in form and finish is an eye-catching element in Jantien Kahn's sculptures.

'Traces of time, transformation and signs of growth and loss are central themes in my sculptures. Stone and my fondness for this ancient material is the starting point in my work. I work largely by hand. This allows me to work in tune with the material and arrive at the desired form and finish at the pace that suits me.'
