De 1800 Roeden

The name of the 1800 Roeden site is based on the distance from the Haarlemmerpoort in Amsterdam, and it was originally measured by Amsterdam Roeden (1 Roe is 3.767 meters). The 1800 Roeden site was built in the late nineteenth century as a munitions depot exactly 1800 Roeden (nearly 7 kilometers) from the Haarlemmerpoort.<\/p>

In 1994 this military function expired and in 1996 the terrain was acquired by Jan van Muiden and Henk Willem Spruit. They rebuilt the halls and turned them into studios, workshops and workplaces, partly with an incubator subsidy. Two halls were given a private catering function. Henk-Willem has since become full owner of the 1800 Roeden.<\/p>

As part of The Defense Line of Amsterdam, Hall A is on the Unesco list of World Heritage Sites and the National Monument List<\/a> .De 1800 Roeden is also part of the Cultural Defense Line of Amsterdam.<\/p>\t\t\t\t\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t\t\t<\/div>\n\t\t
